Can I dry 2 kg of meat as advertised?
A: Yes. If cut into thin strips, you can even dry 2 and half kg if cut
thicker, or even 4 kg with the Extenda Tube.
Q: Can I dry less than 2 kg?
A: Yes.
Q: Can you use it at the coast in humid conditions?
A: Yes (Thick or thin strips - no problem)
Q: Can you use it in very hot conditions?
A: Yes (Thick or thin strips - no problem)
Q: Can it be used in other countries besides RSA?
A: Yes, it is available in 220v and 110v, and we already have happy
customers in America, New Zealand, Australia and Britain.
Q: Can I hang sopping wet meat straight from the marinade?
A: Yes. Q: Does the meat go mouldy? A: No not at all.
Q: How fast can I make biltong?
A: Thin strips - 24 hours. With the NBT you do not have to dry the meat
beforehand, after all that is what the dryer is for!
Q: Can the appliance rust?
A: No, it is made from very strong plastic material.
Q: Can the bucket part bend?
A: No, it is made from very strong plastic material.
Q: Was the appliance tested before posting?
A: Yes, works first time every time.
Q: What kind of guarantee does it have?
A: 2 years on the lid, which contains all the working parts.
Q: Are you a fly by night company?
A: No, we have been in business for 15 years.
Q: What if I get lots of meat from, say, a hunting trip?
A: Spice the meat and freeze it, thaw and hang as needed, this way you
have a constant supply of fresh biltong.

Q: Is the NBT only suitable for biltong?
A: No, definitely not. You can dry sausage, fruit, and herbs too. Once
again in any climate!
Q: What about flies?
A: There is no way flies can get into the NBT while in use, as there
is a constant stream of air coming out of the holes.
Q: When do you use the heat setting?
A: During the colder season for meat, and at all times for herbs, fruit
etc.
Q: What is the best cut of meat to use?
A: The better the cut, the better quality biltong you will have. I find
aitchbone or topside good enough.
